What's the issue? Is he not answering his phone or something? (425) 882-0972

His website is up and looks normal, I was just by there a few weeks ago, everything seemed normal.

I tried the phone, disconnected, and an email, it bounced, replied to one I had from him so know it was the right one

Steve may have retired. I know that he was close

Depending on what the work is that you need, Ross Poitras, who used to run Poke's Cycle in Seattle, may be able to help you. My understanding is he continues to work on bikes at the owner's premises.

Try linkedin, or message me your name and phone #, and I'll pass it along to him for you.

Oh man, I hope he didn't retire yet! I have some swingarm bushings I need him to install on my Triumph! Lol

I'll try to swing by there soon, he's not far from my place. -Eddie

Eddie, let me know!

What I need is an expert at welding cast aluminum, some knuckle head drilled 3 small holes in the timing cover
One of them is inline with the oil pump feed
So if you know an expert welder let me know, I can afford to have it goofed up

Robert, I will send you a PM, although I have Eric in West Seattle help he and he does a great job

Re: what where, Steven Giblin, European Motorcycles, Redmond

Looks like Steve has finally packed up and headed out to the Okanagon's like he's been threatening to do for some time now. Bummer. I hopped on the Triumph and putted over, no sign of anyone there, misc items and boxes in the driveway, heavy chain across the entry towards the shop. There is still some equipment in the side yard but sure looks like someone who has either moved, or is in the process of moving.

Besides loosing an excellent mechanic and source of info, I was hoping to wrestle one of his Commandos away from him one of these days, he had mentioned he might sell one of them a few years ago, but I could never get him to actually let it go, even though every time I asked him about it he would say he was going to be selling it soon, Lol.

He must have gotten tired of dealing with guys like me who would buy $100 worth of parts and get $200 worth of free advice while I was there picking up my parts.

If anyone knows how to get in touch with him I'd appreciate his contact info as I really would like to talk to him about that one Norton. Thanks. -Eddie

Hey Mark,

The Shocker Metalshop in Carnation has done a really good job for my small welding needs. I live in Duvall, so they are right down the road from me. The last thing I had them do was weld a small aluminum tab back onto the alu sub-frame of one of my dirt bikes. It wasn't the cleanest weld I've ever seen and I expected better, but functionally its fine, and its on a part of the bike that cannot be seen anyway, so I didn't bitch about it when I picked it up. I realize welding alu can be tricky, so it was fine for what I needed. The few other small mild steel items that they have taken care of for me have been excellent.

You might consider calling a local race car shop to see who they use, or if they do their welding themselves, I'm sure you could find someone good closer to you. I was going to suggest calling Speedware Motorsports in Redmond, but looks like they aren't in business anymore.

Thanks Eddie,
There was a guy out by Duvall, or somewhere out there that I had do some work long ago, I will try and figure that out
This weld is visible, but I would sand it down, but I can't afford to have it screwed up
If I understand it, the cover is fit to the oil pump, the manual says something like 'if it needs work send it back to the factory'
This is for the 19S

Actually the place I was thinking about for welding is 'Sta-weld' which is a lot closer than I remebered

Cool. I will add them to my list of local welders.
