It looks interesting and fun, but needing a little tlc... I'm not so sure about the sport touring designation. $700 for a complete featherbed frame might or might not be a good deal.

Well it's not a Featherbed frame, has a roadholder front end but the frame I don't know, could be any think, looks like someone just slapped anything together to make a bike????

I just love the way the high pipe has a downward bend to it at the end, This must have been the topic after 36 beers. :roll:

Na, it's the lug frame used by Norton singles and Nomad twins up to 1958. Note the long roadholder forks. If those brakes came with the frame it's a single between '57 and '58 - model 50 (350), ES2 (500) or Model 19 (600). The gas tank is Triumph. Might be worth the $675 if someone needs the chasis for a singles project. I had a '57 Model 50 project in the 80s.

Probably moonshine, it is Kentucky. I like the rear brake and the gear shift being on the same side for once. It can get difficult switching back and for between bikes. What is the best design feature in my book is the fact that they just welded the Kawasaki frame into the Norton. Who hasn't thought about putting a 2 stroke triple in a Norton frame? :oops:

I can usually find some beauty or purpose with anything 2 wheel and an engine.
Yes, I can even appreciate a Norton chop. (Ssssssh, don't tell anyone)
There's no doubt not every project I have done has turned out the way I envisioned and all along thinking how cool it was going to be.
I look at this, especially the Triumph mufflers with a raised expansion chamber, the brake and shifter combo and I am perpelexed.
What were they trying to accomplish, did they ever ride it?
What were they thinking?

Yeh, I think Hillbilly Norton describes this one pretty good.

I think they had piles of parts and built "rolling projects" to sell.

They got exactly what they set out to build.

Good job it was not NORVIL selling it or it would be $6750.Just like the rest of their overpriced e-Bay rip off rubbish.
They seem to have ruined any chance of Commando bargains for genuine enthusiasts :evil:
Oh & then there is their catalogue of New parts which is just as bad.
I will stick with Genuine Firms like RGM or Brit Bits & Mick Hemmings.
The funny thing is they used to be called FAIR SPARES :)
