This worked awesome without issue.
What's it for?
Hint. They are neither ear, nose, nor butt plugs.

"What is it?"

String with painters tape on the ends and a hand behind.

The fact that it is painters tape is irrelevant.
It could be a plastic wedge, wood may not be the best.
The diameter of the rolled up tape or a thickness of a plastic wedge is important.
Good tough string should be incorporated into whatever is used.

It's a muscle builder. I got mine from Charles Atlas. It is a key part of his "Dynamic Tension" technique. You squeeze it real tight 400 times a day, and you will be able to kick start your Norton with your right hand. Plus, bullies won't kick sand in your face.

A lanyard for a sidestand puck so old farts like me don't have to bend over to retrieve it.

Hint.
Some people have little problem with this issue with practice, with others it's a real pain in the ass.

OK, Click gets the big YAHTZEE!

Putting these plugs in there, push the rods forward giving the best clearance for enty into the tunnels. I remember while holding them with my fingers, kept them more inboard offer less clearance and more fumbling about.
I realize it's not science or ground breaking, but it really worked a treat.

A reminder device not to fit push-rods upside down ?
Gotcha, you get the boobie Yahtzee. Somebody else care to set him straight, or should this be a new puzzle?
