Jeesh, what are you up to this time. Me thinks you are getting as bad as me with these new ideas.

Hmmm... a bolt in a cup. My guess is something for a pit stand to grab on to. Threads look too small for a spark plug. Some sort of bar end mount. The possibilities....

Close enough bwolfie.

I love the Napolean bar end mirrors. What i don't like is having to move my head to check them. They're just too far out there and just out of my pariphial vision. So I jumped on the Smithy and turned up some risers/adaptors.

I feel much safer being able to just move my eyes a little and not my hole head to to get a rear view.

Good idea, I never liked mine in the bar end. Will have to make some adapters some time.

I hate to ask a stupid question, but why wouldn't you just use a proper mirror as originally fitted?

Neither my clutch nor front brake levers are standard and also I do not like the standard mirrors.

May I ask a stupid question, why not buy a modern with all its aftermarket accessories... I'm tickled to see your adaptation as Peel may need similar bar mirror solution, but under slung.

Good idea, but what did you use to clamp on the bars themselves that this adapter screws into?

Vintage version...

I think the threaded extender adapter works great.
It gets the mirror away from the rider's hand a bit more and typically there is a bonded rubber insert that cuts down on vibration that causes fuzzy mirror images.

Here is an older version that works for me.

My left hand switch gear is a generic after market clutch lever and has a hole which I tapped to 7/16-14. The right side is an after market master cylinder from MikeXS and also has a threaded hole. This was a left thread that I made to a 7/16-14 also.

Re: Vintage version...

That's a neat little adapter. I guess I kind of have an adaptation of that adapter. I bet people would appreciate a source for it. Where did you get it?

Great idea. I applaud you for addressing what I consider to be a serious safety issue. I'm sure everyone knows that having to turn your head, even for a split second, can make a huge difference in reaction time when it comes down to a crash avoidence situation. Now I'm curious as to why the mirror manufacturers wouldn't want to include something like that as an optional mounting method?

Really nice pvisseriii, I'm not a big fan of the bar end mirrors, I've not used them but they seem kinda wide and when splitting lanes that's not a good thing. Cj
