What are these springs for?

Similar too the coil that isolates the blue can capacitor but my combats were chromed.

They are about 2 1/2" in diameter and 3" long. Must be a mighty big carb. They were in a box of MK3 parts I purchased.

Don't remember coming across anything like that when I pulled my MK 111 to bits and it was in tact and standard except for the SU carby
maybe something in the original airbox or starter motor maybe (haven't done the starter and there were no innards in the airbox)

good luck with that

I google image searched for any combination of words that might show a pic of these. No luck.

If you have OCD like me maybe you should have somebody intervene and hide them from you and if you work out what they are and need them they can come out of hiding.

Or just turf them out and if you need them later on for whatever reason I'm sure you can get them.

Or.... you could attach them to some glasses and stick half a tennis ball to each one, draw a pupil on the tennis ball halves, then u have some home made popping eye glasses.

Sorry... I'm a smart arse :)

YES, we'll have none of this . !

I put this

m x air filter anti colapse spring

in google pics , and got This ! :?

Yes, we have no bananas? Lovely bunchò coconuts? Perhaps the Uni filter site may reveal certainty...

I am going with air filter springs. Since they are the right size, and they were in the pile of parts along with 4 Amal MK2 carbs.
