On inspecting Trixie's Combat head, which was refreshed with valve seat grind and guide stem fitting and new intake seals about 7000 mile prior, I noticed both sides have burnt carbon flame evidence back up the intake port at the most lateral-outside of intake valves at valve seal and pocket. RH side is finger nail triangular size while the smoking LH valve is wider and spreads half way to the manifold surface. I also saw some clear green oil trail that seemed to leak out the RH guide seam into port, while head was laid on ground at a angle a few days before looking closer. I did not see oil on exterior that leaked inside from outside. RH once smokes a while but cleared up last couple 1000 to show up on LH instead.

So do others find some flash back intake valve leakage as common?
Photo's later if 'puter allows it as locks up transfers out of the blue this week and don't know what to do about it yet.

I can't answer the valve question, but I might be able to help with the photo transfer lockup...try Mozilla or Google Chrome for browsers. If you are already doing that, then I don't know how to help!

I can transfer camera files to 'puter files by browser or Windoz opening the camera as a drive but the Nikon transfer is the standard format for me and that's what just closes when i tag start transfer. Its happened before and self corrected so expect doing nothing again will fix it maybe to night is the magical digital shoe eves will get with it.

As both leaks are at similar valve location on either side I'm wondering if there's a thermal distortion issue and wouldn't expect mirror image errors in valve seat cuting or inhaled grit.
