Now you can send in your beadblasted parts for Vaporblasting to repair the exterior damage that beadblasting causes: the pitting, the shredding, the gouging, the impregnation by fractured glass, etc. All these conditions can be repaired by Vaporblasting.

EXCEPT: You get no guarantees that the internal damage caused by beadblasting can ever be repaired by any method ! Next time, do it right and send your aluminum parts for genuine vaporblasting. No other method even comes close.

Also, you experts will know the answer to this question. My 1970 Commando roadster came to me with braced handlebars, but no exhaust pipes, no headlight ring. Is there a chance the handlebars are ex-factory and that this could be a "750 S" model ? Is it indicated in the serial number if this is an "S" model? What other differences should I look for between the Roadster and the 750 S? I don't want to build a fake, I just want to make it original as possible.

I think only the SS model came with braced HBs. You can look for a telltale sign on the left hand 1/2" isolation stud nut, when the iso's got worn, the S exhaust would beat on that nut and make a flat spot on it. S models ranged from 131257 to 135088, March 69 to June 70. SS models were 145243 to 150723, March 71 to Oct 71.
