so I bought a RH4 head that has no exhaust valve seats. I tried to find seats online but to no avail. Any thoughts on what I do? I’m in Southern California.

Thanks for the response Jim. I’ll contact you through your website.

I use a local machine shop that specializes in high performance and racing engines. This is not the machine shop in the rear of the auto parts store.
They do any time of engine building work from simple thread repair to balancing crankshafts to replacing valve seats.
Ask some of the hot rod and raceboys in your neighborhood for a recommendation. Support your local merchants.
With that being said you can't go wrong with 'comnoz' either!

Comnoz is local! To the forum. ;)

He has probably done as much to promote the longevity of Commando motorcycles as any other individual. I think about that when I decide which products to buy as well.

Another two cents tossed into the fountain.

Dave, you’re lucky to have such local resources. The danger in taking your advice, without knowing the companies abilities beforehand, is that some hot rod / tuning shops can be very unsympathetic to our old bikes, hence the many, many stories of heads rendered useless by being ‘hogged out’ by someone probably following good practice ‘of the time’.

I’m in England, but I still thought it worthwhile to send my head all the way to Sir Comnoz. And my before and after dyno comparison agrees too!
