Got a new 850 Harley scale lever which bugs the snot out of Peel so point me at a longer lever lighter verison before I take the new niceness out of curren one
s splines and un-holeyness.
On the 920 (TTI 'box) I have a kick start from Sammy Miller. I heated it with oxy propane & re bent it to make it fit better. I think Norvil here in UK sells the same thing already modified. On the 750 I have a copy of an original Norvil prody race type. I made this by re bending a standard 850 MK2 starter. Both of these work very well. All you need is oxy prop or oxy acetylene.
OK Matchless thanks for the shopping list and shop blacksmith reviews. I'd rather not have to torch a new lever but love fire and molten metal/sparks so now wondering if should just brew my own leaving rusting welds alone. Sure hope to save some mass if possible too.
Bubble bubble toil trouble,,, heat, bend, test, reheat, rebend, retest. Rechrome. Ride like the wind, or maybe in your case like a dust devil through the woods! Merry X-Mas Hobot and to all. Glenn T.S.
Thanx for the friendly feedbacks. I worry over mass almost like Ludwig, fairly nice looks on weird mods and crash worthy-ness with ability to start again with broken lower limbs. Kelly George's 1/2" drive socket welded to crank nut his sticks a cordless drill in to start may show up on mine for track days leaving the rail road scale lever in tool box. I've 4+ KS levers at home, one on Trixie Combat, one new 850 and others in damaged rusted states to sacrifice. Folding KS may foul the toilet oil valve and would be funny it I had to weld it with a bend in it like fender brace for the aftermarket brakes. Gramma low 1st may eliminate my KS concerns but have invented releases to install just in case.
Gosh that's one cute little powerhouse to see again. Peel's got or had stuff from most famous vendors and builders world wide so jump at your suggestion to fit a piece of Kenny's kit on her. i'm am relieved to see its not too hard to kick a good tune big block to life. Glad I asked.
