For those that followed my clutch saga thread you’ll know I’m across at the TT and said I’d share some pics. It’s only day 3 for us so not a lot of pics but will share more as the week progresses.

Been coming for 12 years but this is the first time on the Norton so it’s definitely a “new” experience! Only spotted 1 other 961 so far…and that was a TVS model. Nice - but quite a bit different to the Donnington era. I was quite surprised to be honest.

Bike working spot on. My worries about my mechanic skills were keeping me up at night but 200 mile run to the ferry went without any trouble.

Anyway - enjoy. Will post more later in the week

Kev,
Well done and have a great time.

TT trip - 2024

Lat time I was there in 2018. Back again next year hopefully 🤞

So back home now...bike worked flawlessly! Wee bit of chain lube when I was there (and fuel...lots of fuel!) was all she needed. 1,100 miles in all. Soooooo relieved after I changed the clutch literally hours before leaving.

Pics incoming....

I was at the TT on my 2024 961 Cafe Racer. Didn't see any other modern Nortons but I did talk to a chap who had brought his new Norton 961 to the TT and had an issue with the battery failing to charge which is a shame. No problems with mine which worked flawlessly, including a long ride to and from the Liverpool ferry.
I may have attended the same 'VIP' event as you. Did you hear Milky Quayle give a live running commentry on a fast lap of the circuit ? Some interesting insights there. Met John McGuiness too. He seems a decent chap. Weather wasn't great.....:(

Hey - I saw a couple of TVS bikes but no CR's so I missed you. Would have loved to see them together if I'm honest.

Yeh I saw Milky! Hilarious! Got a few videos I'll post when I've got more time

Hi Kev, I think I saw you in Douglas, I was on the black TVS 961, just time for a quick wave! shame we didn't meet up. Like you the bike ran without trouble (so I would expect!) This is my third 961, I traded in my white one with 18K on the clock. Despite three different test rides which all showed a marked improvement, my one seems to be exceptionally rough and noisy, even more so than my last Donnington one, the've checked the balance shaft spring tension, but it still records 91 decibels at the primary, I would be interested in others recordings (easy with free I Phone app), perhaps I expected too much, vibration is bad above 4K despite weighting footpegs and fitting handlebar weights, only done 2K though so it may improve. Watch this space!

Thank you, we get the races over here but it's good to see the side scenes and general atmosphere of the Isle.
I always wanted to go as a bucketlist, but I'm too old now. Regrets.
Thanks again.
Jaydee

Glad it all went well!
I once confiscated a 961 off Milky, as he was being a bellend on it....as a result I was threatened by one of the locals, that if I didn't let them have the bike back, I'd never be allowed on the island again 🤣 Strange bunch on that rock.

Hi Kev, thanks for posting the pics, looks like you had a great time. For folks not on Facebook, could you post that terrific picture of you rounding Devils Elbow?
