Non repair-despair pictures of my now serviceable plain Jane '72. Past routine was to get in 40 to 120 miles a day so looking forward...

June 20 first solo tippy toe ride with and w/o Wes - leaving me to fend for myself on the return into cycling paradise.

Kings River crossing was about 6 ft under fast water a month ago.

We split at Kingston but I carried on to show another cool old cycle fart then turned tail as factory headlight don't stop spotlighted deer in their tracks nor reveal much on low but these convey my current mood on future with a fine fettered pleasantly smooth spunky senior factory Combat Commando...

Re: Trixie Combat Pixies

Just the next day more of the same...

At a friend, Woody, with a pond we air rifle big snapper turtle so we have first picks of the big cat fish and bass.
Trixie Pix

Woody noticed my rear was low and I'd noticed annoying vibration and timid corner security, to point the tube stem way leaning, So topped off before return to eventually deal with resetting tube. Here some road buddies of mine.

Some nice pics Hobot, I have a week off work in 2 weeks time and thinking of doing some nice quite roads as well, but we have to worry about jumping Kangaroos in our neck of the woods.

Sweet!!! Glad you got her up and about! Good to see you found some deer that wont try to take you out! Happy riding! :D

Re: Trixie Combat Pixies

Thanks, Trixie starts earning her keep tomorrow as work commuter, just lack the milk crate for the rest of her duties. I'm beginning to get a feel for her temperament on how to juice and throttle or not for 1/2 travel step on starts. Still got a primary leak, this last one out the felt clutch seal of course.

Cooling off in Kings River low water of course as floods over the bike level.

Wes and I had us another fling but this time stayed on the best paved swoopy routes that run along the higher south part of the tipped Ozark Plateau, so it don't go to any where to carry much traffic, just one easy sweeper after the next this way and that no need to slow down just stay in isolastic-ized peashooter'd turbofan traced. That's not to say Hwy 21 getting there wasn't also top notch, which I prefer over the more famous Pig Trail we took home to even better county lanes. Almost two Roadster tanks worth w/o a dally to photo but once.

A view looking east off Hwy 21. Its was in 'mild' stacked turns of Hwy 21 that Ms Peel first showed me she could lift her front finishing up 1st and 2nd gear exits. Whoohoo.

Well, apparently there is at least one paved road in the state of Arkansas. I suppose you want us to believe that you also have flush toilets and telephones.

GB

Hehe, Arkansas has some of the best pavement anywhere - as big meat packer iNC's make sure its smooth sailing for their trucks. Hwy 21 has been repaved twice in the 13 yrs I've been here.

Oh the other hand plumbing is not always ready available. Only about 1/2 the buildings on our village square have flush toilets. Today I directed half dozen folks heading with grimaced expressions on way to Grandpa's out house, into my clinic water closet with a sink. Its one of Ozarks rural luxuries for men not to have to hunt a place inside often. Here's impromptu video a few wks ago in Grandpa's Antiques for flavor.

About a week of fall max out left then an ice storm will knock us straight into winter, so hope to tape video to face shield to show a section of Ozark glory.

Be careful when you stop for a break, you don't wipe your butt with that bright red three leaved vine leaf. They're certainly large enough, almost as good as the Sears catalogue pages.

scratch huh, scratch itch burn, oh no, scratch, ya mean what I laid in, scratch twitch, to take the photo of colors and clouds, squirm scratch, and its all over my jacket too, itch burn twitch..., oh no not again....

Btw I'm an 'old'l Fla Cracker so know the best there ever was to wipe one's duty, was hog chewed softened sun bleached cleansed corn cobs. Just crack off the clean end to smoke out of too.

Got barrel base leak fixed the lazy way last wee am and took off for appointments waiting till last moments to put on exhaust and tank, headed out into peak of colors in crisp air, ahh. Noticed a bit more dancy on THE Gravel and rutted secondary road then really noticed a two cycle weave after crossing double yellows on purpose at 80 in mild sweeper, whohoo, then remembered I'd forgotallabout the head steady. Non issue if not pressing any limits as if on bald tires in the wet. This summer's tired out tyres.

Past spring, summer, fall trash I'm too lazy to carry out. Top down,
mostly all SV650 consumption, burn out split tire, road flat too long on 19" rear, half shell I cut off lengthwise, [other half used for cush pads, last 3 non DOT softies, one gave up its center first, another arrowhead sliced, seen as brown ish wad of half dozen plugs that still failed to hold air a few hours, one I won my solitaire game on using up whole surface till wouln't hold air w/o a puncture, soap sprayed on to hunt it made Whole Surface make white foam and bubbles!

love going to those types of places-love the Indian signs. Such things are all over our house, i refer to the garage as "den of the mighty chiefs."

snow came out of nowhere and hit us pretty good, enjoy it while ya can

Gosh we must be related. Had me grinning till that last white shit part, ugh, we go through ice storms entering winter then again entering spring. About 6 months below freezing after dark with some great grace days while sunshines.

Well I just can stand it, meet a new friend on parallel twin 80's yamaha ratter that lives an hour N of here, invited to lunch there while still 60-70' F cloudy with chance of showers, then must turn around to make appointments an hour ride S. Working up nerve I rolled Trixie out in the sun and gave her a tickle that leaked out float gasket before over flowed so caught loose screws at home this time, to have another mystery show up or rather not. She took 3 kicks to fully light off but not hardly a trace of smoke out L pipe at all??? I was worried that I'd not discovered a split air collar on LH carb so had sucked in grit enough to wear the bore/ring seal but seems not. Weird as smoke on first cold starts was too much to do in garage or flooded home too, now could start inside w/o wife throwing a fit. Only one tiny spot of cords showing on rear, so think i'm good to go as ever. Photo to follow.

Thanks Mark, trying to get in some grace days before you know what...
Dang ole bald tires made grass burn outs kind of too easy so something got in to me with Trixie working so cleanly, even the cold start up smoke has stopped, again. Topped off, then took a wrong turn for some athletics down into our spring branch, got pulled out, after bike hefting w/o dropping it, any more, for a trance like smooth ride in golden light and pleasant breezes blowing leaves around.

Well Trixie sure ain't a Ms Peel [lifted on tractor tires] hopping into, over and right on out of this uphill water course for fun but its athletic practice if I ever get a chance at them luxury scenic cliff hanger paths. Yo'all still think I'm just lightening up Peel for mere pavement hum drum fun. Note self - glue on kicker rubber. Absolutely I had a bunch of - How TF did I get into this stuff- thoughts, but mostly d/t rain predicated while resting stuck again on the muddy slope out, wondering if wise to just wait for Wes to help rescue me again. What's the difference between just plain stupid crazy vs hooligan hillbilly nuts, I don't know yet either : )
