A buddy of mine came across a newer Hinckley Thruxton and is just about done pimping it out. He LOVES this bike so much which prompted him to say that he now understands my passion as he has just entered the 'Vintage British Bike Scene'.
Which caused immediate laughter on my part and, 'you haven't done the 'Vintage British Bike Scene' until you have lived with Lucas electrics, Amal carbs, and oil drips everywhere.

He paused for a moment, then nodded his head in agreement and said, 'yeh, but it's a great bike.'

'I smiled and nodded in agreement.'

Yep, I like them too. Classic styling with modern equipment and reasonably priced. What's not to like?

The new model does a great job of disguising the FI to look just like carburetors.
