Will a 1969 "T120" 650 Cylinder, bolt onto a 1973 "T140" set of cases ??? Surely someone knows ... Comments appreciated.

I would "like" to put ALL the parts from my 1969 650 ... into the later 750 cases.

Hi, I'm Stein Roger, first post on here. I go by tri-man here and on Triples On Line, but I use my name on Brit Bike.

As regards your question, yes the barrels and everything else will fit, I'm sure you know that you'll need the longer 650 rods, and the larger 650 barrel corner bolts as well. Personally I'd prefer to use the cams from the 650 , though there's a lot of info on how to get the best out of the T140 set up too. The late great Pete Russel (Pete R or Mr.Pete) used to advice around a 100 deg lobe centers on the inlet. But for better low down power and a nicer overall performance, the 650 cams are hard to beat.

750 (and '71 650s from GE27029) cases have a metric timing-side bearing so I believe an earlier crank requires an adaptor sleeve to fit the metric bearing.

barrel gaskets are the same so cant see why it would not. the outer studs are stepped for the smaller nut to clear the barrel on 750 but should still work if you don't want to change them. as to cams the 750 inlet and a late 650 exhaust are similar to the spitfire profile so give good power.
