Triumph Bonnie Model

For every Triumph that wet-sumps, there are 20 or so Nortons that do it in 1/4 the time.

Too many years ago to count, I built a plastic kit model of a Formula 1 Gilera, I think based on one ridden by Giacomo Agostini. Sure wish I still had it. It may have been a victim of my Boeing-funded move to Seattle.

Giacomo Agostini on a Gileria :?:
Don't you mean the 350 & 500 MV Agusta :?:

I still have my Gilera 500/4 complete with dustbin fairing.

It's a long time ago. I think it might have had a small V-8 engine. I think one of the Italian factory racers was a 350cc V-8.

I was more into Observed Trials and moto-cross than road racing, except when Villiers almost won the 250cc IOM TT race with Peter Inchley riding the bike (in 1966 ?). He was running second when a pit stop went very wrong and he got the stright gas intended for the adjacent pit instead of the 2-stroke mix he needed. The Starmaker engine seized about 4 miles after he gassed up.

Moto-Guzzi made a Gran Prix racer 500 V8. I do believe there was a plastic kit for this model. I don’t think Agostini ever rode it as it was before his era
