Back from the International Norton Rally in Spain, around 3200 miles, temperatures for the bulk of the holiday were in the 30 - 40 deg C range and the Commando ran faultlessly, two pints of straight 50 which I think considering the heat was excellent. Bike is now serviced ready for the next trip. I have to say this is the first biggish trip I've done where I have had no issues whatsover (apart from the tacho cable breaking 1 mile from my house!) The route was from Scotland to Hull in England, Zebrugge (Belgium) down through the middle of France including the awesome Millau bridge skirt round the Pyrenees to Barcelona, Ferry to Ibiza to stay with a Norton friend of mine for a week then back through the Pyrenees to the Rally in the North West of Spain . After the meeting back up the West of France and a final couple of days with my Belgian friends in Kortrijk before catching the ferry back to Hull.
Don't be afraid to take your Norton on a long trip, there is no bike more satisfying to travel on, stressful sometimes but well worth it!

Norton Commando, possibly the best adventure motorcycle ever!
