As per video....anyone care to expand on this?
Please excuse the video quality, I'm not a camera man, just a phone in hand, have no script and cant be arsed trying to fathom out editing software...cheers :p
(The laptop loses connection right near the end as the lead fell out the back of the ecu...hence the screens rev counter freezing)

@Stu Bodycote this is a screenshot from the Delta software, but my understanding is that it is the same for the "factory" SCS.

It's not connected to the bike, but hopefully this helps. Let me know if you need more.

I've not got any experience of this on the Norton, BUT I read that one the ECUs...maybe the early SCS? (Typhoon?)..would recalibrate it's zero TPS position at every start up start up...so partially holding the throttle open when starting would mean that a closed throttle would give a negative TPS value...which could cause issues with idle. Seems to back up what Gojuu says. Not sure how the factory SCS is configured..or the Omex.

I have the SCS delta and been meaning to take a look, but seems to run fine...but quite a few pops and bangs out of the exhaust!

You can turn that auto zeroing off on the Delta 400. Then it just uses the values you entered for 0% and 100% TPS during the setup . This is how I am running mine and this is exactly how the DynoJet PCV works also. Are you guys still using the auto zero feature ?

@Stu Bodycote I always assumed it would be handy if you had to change a TPS, as you wouldn’t have to set a 0% value. How does that work with an omex?
I just reset via Omex software. Dont know if you can see in that video, but there's padlocks on each section. So unlock, adjust and relock.

Hi , I have no experience with the 961 ecu , but just curious if these run Alpha-N or speed density efi , I have a 8 stack on a V8 and had to change back to TPS based , Alpha-n . I run MoTec , any mechanical changes require tps recalibration and i found the advanced acell/decell helpful .I think locking some features, stops stuff adjusting in the back ground . Nice looking bike, love the alloy tank .cheers.

Hi Shelby , I had to look up those terms Alpha-N and speed density . My bike must use Alpha-N , because I have no MAP sensor , no MAF sensor and no O2 sensors either to change compensation.

Most throttle body efi is alpha numeric., basic , think its TPS /RPM, well on V8 stuff, because of the amount of airflow I have 8 x 52mm TBs , wont work with a MAP sensor and lack of vacuum signal i think anything over 15-20% and it thinks it is at full throttle . My 86 F150 is speed density factory and it has a map sensor , the next step is mass air flow sensor .

Yeah on the euro 3 in the video, the fueling is pretty much a watering can pouring fuel into the cylinders via a bit of string.....ie TPS controlled and not very refined.

Stu, my experience is on 2018 Euro 4 with Omex ecu.
If you open the throttle while starting and also just after starting, the idle will be higher.
I have to make sure I leave the throttle well alone until the bike has started and settled to an idle which takes several seconds.
Hope that’s what you were referring to.
cheers
