He he he. I was selected as "Enthusiast of the Month" by my insurance company (Shannons, in Oz. Don't mind plugging them as they've been great, especially compared the thieves back home in Canada). The prize was a model from Biante, good quality stuff and this one's worth $130. I asked if I got to choose the model and they told me I couldn't, they only offered one as the prize and it was this! Couldn't complain about that, eh! The detail is spot on, even the front forks work, as well as the sidestand return spring!

You will have to let us all know how it handles after you take it out for a spin

That would be one hell of a wall sized poster in the background if the bike were real.

I wonder if they could make some full-size ones with working engines?

Does anyone know if Norton Motorcycles were available in model form? I am trying to find one. Either a model to build or a replica as in this thread. Thanks.

Google "Norton diecast" and you'll find products offered....some on eBay as well.

Heller/Airfix did plastic kits of a Roadster and 'S' type years ago, and they occasionally appear on ebay, and I've seen a very nice 1/12 scale diecast Fastback for around £80...

It could be the only way to get a Hurricane into my garage!

I wonder if Norton is receiving royalies for the use of the name and likeness?

I have the Heller S type in a bag like a basketcase because all the glue got all brittle then the doogooders made model glue illegal in Ottawa because some punks were sniffin' the stuff. Where to get glue ? Been meaning to restore it for 25 years....we should be able to sniff out a source.

I too insure with Shannons, they are fantastic, probably the best in the world.
I love them, their staff are always knowledgeable and friendly.
Their rates are excellent and they pay quickly.
Who hands out the Models.!

The stuff for glueing plastic guttering , from builders supplies might work .
Zap or Hotstuff superglus are probably the go though , if you dont sniff them .
