I have , like others have an Alton fitted, but my red headed grade 8 French teacher had huge tits and this seemed to have an effect on my grades, hence I failed French, sorry Piero dont think I can help at this stage.

Piero said "ordered" so he may not actually have the kit, but the instructions can be downloaded from the Alton website;

Very well done video.
Is there a "director's cut" with all the swearing, skinned knuckles, and empty beer cans?

Cheers.

Piero,
Does the bike have the points at the rear of the timing case? Is that your concern?

"Timing cover point(s)" would seem to mean 'camshaft points' as the Alton kit doesn't fit the 20M3 (points housing behind the cylinders) model.

Note.
This kit is not designed for the early 750 Fastbacks fitted with a distributor nor for the MK3 which was fitted with an electric starter.

Hi Piero,
I use a Alton on my Seeley Commando more as one year without any problems, but I did some changes on the kit:
1- Be sure that the ignition is setting very wel,if you have kickbacks when kicking, you will have problems with the Estart, the best is to use a Tri-spark or a Pazon
2-Dont use the orange plots from the kit, you must make six plots in nylon
3-Dont use the crankase nut from the kit, use the original one, this one must be shortened to the size from the kit
4- Put a wide Beleville washer under the crankshaft nut and torque to 12 Kg
Good luck
Yves

That would be my video when I removed my Alton kit when it started spitting bit of gearing from the motor housing into my primary. My French teacher was Miss Connel.....my grades were also somewhat below average.
My kit was fitted by a dealer and I did not receive any fitting instructions although I did request them. He reconed it would take four hours to fit so maybe they were in French also or maybe should have taken Yves advice.

Piero,

did you read that the Alton will NOT fit a 1969 Fastback?

The Alton won't fit a '69 20M3 Fastback, but it should fit a '69 20M3S Fastback.

Hi.
Sorry, what are the "orange plots"?
Piero

.The orange plots are 1cm long cylinders that come between the starter chain sprocket and the intermediate gear, they work like a fuse and will broke as the engine must kicback, there is place to put six cylinders but in my kit there where only three and the material from the cylinders is to soft to transmite the power from the starter, even with no kickback they will broke soon or late
I made my own cylinders in Nylon or Ergal ( a kind of white plastic) and use six of them.
But before you do that, be sure that the engine never kickback when you start it wih your leg!!! thats why I recomand ro use a Pazon or a Tri-Spark ignition, they have an anti- kickback in the programation
