Hi
Has anyone got the dimensions for manufacturing a tool to allow correct/ease of adjustment of the timing chain for 750, I don't have a timing cover to chop up.
Come to think of it I could probably remove the timing cover set it on the mill table and probe the bolt holes etc from there, but if someone has the dimensions it would make things easy.

Thanks in advance if someone can help.

Best Regards

Yep that looks OK to me pretty simple, I can simply probe the bolt holes and shaft from the timing cover, after all it locates it now, might try and make it look a bit cleaner, why just because I can. :D
The shaft is still a good fit ie no movement, so basically this is only an exercise to try out my latest toy in the backyard workshop. The "toy that she who must be obeyed" said I was not to do any work on my motorcycles with, and only for work for paying customers
Thanks for the link, I should have searched there before!

Yep I shudder every time I see a timing cover cut up.
Looking around the various swap meets has never produced a cover that was suitably damaged enough to warrant chopping up, the ones that have turned up they want a fortune for anyway.

Shout yourself a beer when you're done and you'll count as a paying customer

Yes even I cry when I look at that chomped 650SS timing cover hanging on the wall but when that was chomped up second hand timing covers were getting on for ten a penny.....
