Just thinking here that it would be good to find a spanner that fits better than what I have been using, but I'm unable to find any info on this.
Other than an adjustable spanner, what are people using for this?

/Steve.

A 7mm open spanner works good for me not sure what small size fits in AF as I can't find my small AF spanner I know I have one somewhere in my shed but the 7mm fits good.

9/32" AF for the carb top adjuster and 5/16" AF for the locknut.

The inline adjusters may not be the same, for instance, my Mk3's inline choke cable adjuster and locknut are both 11/32" AF.
The Venhill cable upper throttle adjuster is 5/16" AF and the locknut seems to be 29/64" [Correction: 25/64"] AF (as I don't have a spanner that size) but I suppose they could be metric?

I tried a 9mm and 10mm on mine, and neither fit. My nice 3/8 wrench doesnt fit, but a cheap ass Indian spanner is a very snug fit. 23/64 would be too big I think, more like 25/64 since 10mm is too big. But that is a real oddball size. Even for a Norton. None of my WW or BSW wrenches fit either.

Yes, sorry, 29/64" was a typo, it should be 25/64". 10mm will do, but it is loose.

LOL Typo central. At least in NZ I can blame it on whiskey at this time of night... :D

9/32" = 7.14mm
5/16" = 7.94mm
11/32" = 8,73mm
25/64" = 9,92mm
So since no mm spanners fits properly, we'll just have to buy the correct tools....

If the locknut is loosened with a 5/16 wrench then it should be possible to twiddle the cable adjuster
with just your fingers. No wrench needed.

I remembered this thread for some reason out of the depths of my mind (dont ask) and as I just found a full set of BA wrenches I decided to give them a try and a 3BA fits the adjuster.

3BA = .282 inches = 7.16mm

9/32" would likely work too, but I dont have one of those.
