I for one am dismayed that about half the topics put on here lately morph into a P.Y. thread. Eventually he will make it his own and sure as hell it will go right into the toilet as others feed on the waste. Often I'm reading a new thread and I'll see the first post by P. I'll give, usually, one more shot but then more than likely the thread will turn into a bad "stand-up comedy" routine and to me, it might as well be locked. I rarely go back.

Agree, but as this forum as been beaten to death on about every commando issue..many time over. It would be impossible to bring up new issues..so a little SLAP STICK fills in the main topics...just read and grin at the clowning about. Then bin it!
I would like to be able to erase . so its not constantly in my Mush!

Ref threads that turn.

Brass exhaust nuts on 750 don't screw all the way home. I have seen them wired up , but mine don't seem to slacken.

The Bigger finned nuts seem to screw in to the top but I don't like the look of them.

Here is a selection of exhaust nuts ; far right Norvil L. E, middle steel nut , far left finned nut , is that 750 or 828.

Reason I'm asking is 2 heads I've got have both had the exhaust treads repaired, one very badly I am sending it away for repair this week.

I joined the forum in 2003 and have 1722 posts now. What is the post limit?

I'm up there with posts, but I think hobot's got the prize. I doubt there's any limit.

(Sorry guys, But...... A Troll post, A Derail attempt AND a blatant bump to my post count all in one, I just couldn't help myself. )

Ref; mark turning threads

Rolled and hardened are by far the most reliable although more expensive to produce , £ 17 odd each for rod bolts, man but they sure are lovely , better than those patern cut things .

Rolly fron Rotherham.
