Template for Pinstriping

dear All,
I am trying to have a roadster tank painted in black with the big 'D' pinstriped in gold (year 1971-72)
Is there anyone who may have a template and/or any reference to use for designing the golden 'D' pinstriped, so that I may pass it to my painter to be precise?

The pinstripes were hand applied, so some variation is to be expected.

Although 750 models are sometimes seen repainted in the "850" style, they didn't have the "850" side panel stripes originally.

mi domandavo se era possibile trovare un 'modello' di carta da applicare sul serbatoio, così che la filettatura non fosse 'random'..
