Im sure it has been mentioned, but I have
apparently not noticed:

06-2701/1 Petrol Tank, Roadster, unpainted 260.00
See their Andover Norton page under new offerings.

Anybody seen, heard or touched
same? Horrible offshore shapeless leaky tin objects or
a proper Roadster tank?

That's $420USD plus shipping. Not bad if it's good.

Not good if it's bad. LOL

Burton Bike Bits has (As good as they get from India) tanks.

I've just today bought the last tank in stock from Walridge.
They claim good quality from thier India manufacterer. But highly
unreliable in sending them new stock.

Not to cause undo fits of jealousy, but my man Yoshi here in L.A. got me a used (needs paint, but zero rust) tank for $250 clams. I have it prepped and ready for primer, next step is Jaguar Metallic Black and clearcoat. This black has every other color you can imagine in it- blue, green, red, purple, gold, silver- it's ridiculous really. But in the sunlight it looks like a million bucks. The side covers came out pretty well too. If you are interested, call Yoshi at The Garage Company in Inglewood (Los Angeles). A classy guy and an honest man.

I'm working a job about two blocks from The Garage Co right now. Stopped by to see his new shop last week and words can not relate the state of moto nirvana there. My god! Nortons galor from Manx motors to amazing 50's period cafe racers and real race bikes. A Vincent Comet in a Featherbed done so clean you would swear it was factory. some people put books in book cases. He dispays motors! A ES2 next to a Velo venom ect ect and bikes from cool Laverda RGS to SS Ducks next to whatever you can think of. I found a old linkage rod with two rose joints from one of the dozing Harley race bikes in a box to be modified for my rearsets. Such a cool shop and nice guy, I keep trying to think of reasons to leave work and go by just to take pictures of stuff. The web site does not do justice to the shop in person.

Sort of hoping Mr Andover Norton would have a comment. Im ready
to order but without seeing it, well, less than happy too. Wondering
where it is made and what quality. Surely Andover would not give it
the 'genuine' stamp if it wasn't up to snuff.
Maybe Ill end up being the test case.

The occasional bad item does slip through with AN. But it can't be said they won't attempt to rectify when made aware.
