Folks,

Thought I’d post this here as I don’t think y’all always check the rest of this site...

Givi 20l tank bag for sale, I bought this for my 961, then used it once on my Duc 1200S Monster. Used TWICE in total! It’s top quality, and is the type that locks onto the bike if desired, two keys included, plus rain cover and map pocket.

I have the ‘ash tray’ that bolts to the tank cap surround and 3 sets of adaptor’s, I cant guarantee this, but I’m pretty sure one set is for the Monster and two sets are the type that fit the 961.

Please note this will only fit the stock tote tank, not the alloy tanks. I also imagine it would only be usable with Sport style handle bars, I doubt it would work with clip ons unless you have unusually long arms.

How does £100 inc postage within U.K. sound?

Hello FE , Maybe a dumb question but why don't you use it ? It fits yo

It doesn’t fit anything currently in my shed Tony, the Duc was part exchanged for the Harley, so all my bikes now have traditional fuel caps of one type or another...

What you traded the Duc ?! Why for ? At this rate you will never go through a set of tires . I thought you were in love with the Monster and the HP/Torque/Handling ? :)

The Monster was the best bike I’ve ever had Tony. A truly fabulous machine. But it just didn’t make me want to ride it. Many times I said to myself “I’ll take the Monster out today” but when I opened the shed, it was always something else that seemed more tempting. Often my humble T140.

I’ve done more miles on the Harley in the 3 weeks I’ve had it than I did on the Duc all year. And I haven’t even been anywhere!

I‘m not taking anything away from the Duc, it is an absolutely fantastic machine, just not what I’m wanting I guess.

Anyway, I can only realistically fit 4 bikes in my shed, it’s a nice “limiter”... a bit like folk with eating disorders who have a gastric band fitted....

So , That Ole Harley scratches the itch does it ? And if they are not to modded up they can get in the 45 mpg range . With a 5 gallon tank you can drive a ways .

Yes it does !

Mines the 110ci motor and has stage 1... don’t think it’s quite doing 45mpg...

It's funny how our 'toys' are the bees-knees at time of purchase.... until we spy/buy the next one! My Duc has done more miles than both the FTR and 961 combined this year (not boasting as truth is it isn't that many miles at all, been a bad year for riding). By the way, FTR sold and gone (took just 48 hours to find a buyer and for him to bring the cash and a van) and Diavel is arriving tomorrow in the same van that the MH900 will be taken away in for a 'major' service.

Taken today at a pub overlooking Dungeness Nuclear power station ! I can’t recommend F E tank bag highly enough shown here in all its glory , also worth a mention is the auxiliary power pack u can get that has 3 USB points in the bag , & yes my Sat Nav was picking up some radiation

Blimey, you don’t mess around do you ?!

So the 961 is still hanging in there then...??

Hello Richard , I had to look this one up . Looks like in southeast Kent and only the "B" station is still operational . License good to 2028 Wiki says . I also think I see the mirror stalk extensions which will allow you to finally see what's behind !

I am exactly the opposite of this for some odd reason. I research the hell out of what I want, buy and modify to my liking and get really attached! In an odd, clingy, slightly perverse, man and machine sort of way! Been in Aus for 17 years, over which period I’ve bought 5 vehicles (3 bikes, 2 cars). Still got all five. Go figure  !

We’re not that dissimilar. I also research to an obsessive level, then modify obsessively to suit my liking.

Then I sell it!

To be fair, I’m much better at keeping my classic bikes. But the modern bikes definitely have more of a casual / disposable feeling about them to me.

Apart from my Norton Mk3 ownership period in the 80's I haven't ever bought a bike tyre 'cos it has worn, that is an indication of how long I hang on to my bikes! I have replaced tyres due to punctures and I did fit two new ones to my restored Harley which I owned for 24 years but that is the one exception, my bikes get sold with the tyres on them when I purchased lol. My 961 is about ready for a rear tyre change.....

Afraid , I got similar affliction , 3 bikes on road with one waiting for winter to be restored , a car (me) a Jeep (wife) and neither of us go very far , usually keep 4 wheel stuff 10 yrs plus , bikes I do similar research , modification then hang on .... my Ducati ST3s , I think would be stage 2 , as air box , pipes and ECU are upgraded to race spec , still gives 5.54L/100km or 51.99 miles per imp. gallon , most comfortable bike for me ever as it approaches 70,000 kms , not likely part with it now ... I always ride with a tank bag , only time panniers attached is if I’m gone for two or more sleeps .... the Commando gets to be used in naked form always ....
