Swinging Arm Threaded rod

The tiny threaded rod, is it a 9BA 44 thread?
Need tap and die for this. Any sources?

I ditched the dikey rod and did this... No fear of stripping or breaking while tightening. Just my 2¢ worth...

My '74 came with the welsh plugs and felt oil packing (as in the Mk3). Now that I have seen it, my 750 will get the same the next time I take it apart.

Looked at Les's page and see there are two rods, one
6 1/2 one 7 inch in length. This reminds me of the
stub axle thread. Mine is a '74, came with the 7 inch
type, not plugs. However, now I realize maybe it did
originally as the swinging arm bushes were the later
short type but with a short piece of bush added to
make up the space where the felts would be.
I ordered new rod and ends. Ill report when they
arrive and I have at it.

I will have to pull it apart and measure it. It won't be until late next week when I get back from Vegas.
