Thanks for that!

There is a lot of temptation on those roads. I'd forgotten how wide the ratios are in the standard gearbox. I usually go back one gear before even the widest of bends, so I accelerate through them. It is safer that way.

Yup , very good video results from a very nice ride .... we still locked up here .... we not supposed to look for loop holes , like the one I found today in Griso manual saying at least 20 minute warm up via ride before draining fluids ..... it a $1000 ticket for going your own way here .

Do all Commandos have that much yoke offset ? He does not seem to accelerate through the corners.

The bike in the video I posted today is a Dominator, so not sure if that changes the yokes?
Manx Nortons appear to have had 2 and 1/4 inch offset with 54.5 degree rake and 19 inch wheels. The yokes on the bike in the video look to be a lot more than that. They would make the bike tend to understeer a bit. Original Manx Nortons usually oversteer slightly, It is why they feel so good when you ride them. A modern Molnar Manx probably has 60 degree rake and steers neutral. These days we have much better tyres, and the bikes lean more. Nevertheless the videos are interesting. When I ride, I usually keep a lot of power on as I ride through bends and corners. Those videos were tasken on public roads, so the rider was probably observing the speed limits. When a bike understeers, it can feel as though it is wallowing, as you ride through bends. It becomes stiff and unresponsive.

He's posted a fresh one:

This guy is a maniac, riding at this speed through a forested landscape. What if a deer suddenly runs across the street? Lots of Sunday walkers too, not always paying attention.
A collision would no doubt be lethal.

A maniac! Really? If you fill your life with "what ifs" you wouldn't do anything
I'd say that's far safer than some of the roads that I have dealt with on a bike
Give the M25 a try in rush hour traffic
Or ride through any big city

Seriously! These are totally different scenarios. Do you ride through a city at 110 mph? Of course not.
A sensible rider will try to avoid heavy rush hour traffic on motorways / multiple lane highways, IMHO.
Great caution is required in both cases.
