News flash!! Strange and very uncommon weather recorded in Arkansas when a storm chaser tried in vain to track a tornado that seemed to be following a local two lane highway. He was unable to get good film footage as the storm was moving much faster then he dared to drive and when it changed direction seemingly to follow a dirt single lane road & moving even faster he gave up... Tired & worn out, the news caster said he stopped at a locals house & was given a dinner of nice Possom stew and spent the evening learning about the owners two Nortons ned Trixy & Pixey?? Well never mind the names but he did notice the tornado started and ended at the house of the local named Hobot!!!! Film at 11:00.

Hehe, yep and we had Pokeweed scrambled eggs for breakfast, really. Its common in Akransas to compare a divorce with a tornado, as someones always gonna lose a trailer. Thank goodness our homestead is smack up tight to a ridge on west side, which blocks sunsets whirlwinds. We decided against one plateau top site when I asked about the roofing tin in tops of trees, told oh yeah a tornado took out both chicken houses a couple years prior. There ain't a old farm home or family home with more than one bed room build up to the 70's that don't have a bunker too. A funny event recently was 82 yr old with Parkinsons tremors, tornado on the way in middle of the night, so wife got him up to creep-shuffle to the bunker, but half way there Parkinsons made him freeze up stuck - till hail started and she said he just hustled right on in then. Yesterday I cleared the path up the ridge, saw chain and chain drag trees and discovered half mile wide pastures, a way down to out big creek in a ravine plus a back way out of our hollar - I don't think the owner even knows exits as trees hide the missing fence section.

Isn't it about time for the ramps to come it? About time for a good spring movement.

I don't need no stinking ramps I got too many opportunities for air time going over drop offs or cresting rises w/o leaving the mowed area of my yard. Once off of the lawn, its wild wooley adventure. Lot of wild vegies here aid the traditional spring clean out movements : ) Its all too easy to bottom and top out suspension just going a bit faster than creeping feet down safe. i had to hit low range 4wd to climb up to the top pastures and was quite surprised at the extent of them as only hiked to this area once, which was enough like Mt. climbing once was enough. I also had to take it rather slow in the PU as bounced head to ceiling on the ground texture, but a big ass grin developed as it wouldn't be bad for a handy cycle to take on especially with the hip high grass cushioning. My pastures aren't big enough to get much over 50 before crisis to avoid, these could allow 60's for an thrilling interval, as long as don't fly over the hump on the slopes into raw wooded ravines or fences. I have longed for decades to get on a Commando in late afternoon after work to just unwind, but here its more a terror to get to pavement on THE Gravel, so having a steeple chase course in my 'backyard' is excitingly relaxing. To have fun off road at speed requires allowing or helping bike to fall over the way ya need, which means leaving counter steering behind. Racers don't yet know what they are missing out on sticking like on rails as ya can't transition until one end or the other ain't locked in grip but 10% more in noise zone of traction.

Heres a pleasant Dirt path demo of phase 3 handling in clear level narrows, excepting a big animal hazard like here too.
Note the natural ease of straight steering all the worlds most elite designers know nothing about.

Another wave of tornado's deflected by our small mt's but rained all day, so didn't risk a visit of new wonder land again. Here's what i enjoyed on Peel with MX bikers saying they just loved the sound of heavy 4 stroke twin in the woods. Peel needs more clearance and rear suspension travel to take on stuff easier that's rather more severe than these guys living it up are. The hill climbers appreciate torque and horse power for thrills and its wierd on almost street tires to out run an MX bike in the more opens. Whirl winds kick up some dust.
