Wow zotz

Lots of work in that one but really a nice period build. I love those conrods :D
Would be fun to play with & interesting to ride.
Good spot.

looks like the primary case is a late model drouin

Blower is more like a GM Detroit Diesel (probably 2-71) . Also has a picture of a bold cracked housing. I cannot tell what the crack is on.

Connecting rod's look funky, maybe good for key fobs.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I wouldn't mind having it…it's got some sort of old, bada$$ look about it that somehow appeals to me on some weird level…but no, not enough to actually buy it! The crack, if I understand the listing correctly, is on the spare blower.

mike it should appeal to any boy with some testosterone left and good back ground in all the issues of fueling and drive train and on-off power band with a comrpressor type booster as opposed to the centrifugal turbo snail blower type booster. Could run it w/o the compressor drive connected for just a big carb flashy C'do civilized enough for public use. Its a bargain just for the basic bike of course.

Steve,

to run it without the blower drive connected, you'd have to remove at least one of the rotors. It would then just act like a large plenum chamber. If you left the rotors in, you'd be blocking the intake completely, except for a bit of leakage around the rotors. I saw a guy do this at Bonneville. He had a similar supercharger on his Harley, above the engine, with a 4-barrel carb on top. When the blower died he just removed the guts and ran the bike anyhow.

Maybe I like it partially due to all that black…gives it a bit of a Black Shadow look and if you got it up and running it would have to be a serious bit of fun. I swear if I was in the US AND the timing was better (I'll owe a fair chunk of cash to the IRS come tax time), I'd slap a bid down… ;)

Oh yeah forgot its roots type that needs impellers out the way of air flow but still good to know runs decent w/o the booster turning. Comnoz said the serveral boosted bikes he's been involve with had narrow upper range power bands which made hard to control, though I got impression these were the Compressor type boosters or turbocharged, not driven snail type soft hit blower like Drouin. Half dozen Drouin owners/users said it comes on Right Now and just gets quickly faster smoother, like the sales pitch dyno graphs show. I've crashed a few times going across lumpy Gravel straight ahead so flash back now and then on the death ride of wining Commando Drouin rider that could of been me. Would definitely be an attention getter mike in traditional black and gold trim and hunk of power maker lurking to cock heads even if not for boost wildness. A huge part of why I'm out of the aw but not illegal to US Govt and its STATES OF XX is to be out the blood sucking IRS so enough left over for joy projects, after other needs covered. Some folks like the supercharged project starter are out to see what they can get away with and not be caught.

I remember that guy Ken, 2008 If I remember correctly, LOL LOL!

Yep, that's the one. I've seen him there a couple different years. Nice picture. Always entertaining to browse the bikes at the BUB meet.

I think "Dances With Shrapnel" says it all in his name. :D At least it has a decent tank repaint though...
