Hey guys,

Going away for a while and am having difficulty applying my CR steering lock with the Key.

Anybody mastered this? Full lock applied left and right, depress key, rotate left - no engagement. Am I missing something?

Cheers.

Steve

Yes , Missing the fact that the key does not need to be depressed . Just turn to the left with very little or NO downward pressure . This had me baffled for the longest time ! I know it says push on the key switch , but alas no. Don't push down , just turn key to the left .

Spot on Tony, job done.

Different to every other bike I've ever owned!

I love my Norton. No, I mean it, I really do!

Thanks.

Steve

They do have their THINGS!!! When I 1st got mine I tried to start it after a small tip over with clutch in, sidestand down & key turned off then on. But I left it in gear. Well on most bikes it just wouldn't start. Well with my 961SE the engine started & then shut off!! After awhile someone said ,is it in gear? Yeah but it did start & shut down! I thought it was a problem from the tip over. After a few tries I relented & put it in neutral. Key on, broommmm. Started & ran! Oops! Do you know how stupid I felt!!!!!

Tell us you have something more substantial than using the steering lock Stephen. A 16mm chain at least
