Thanks for the reply a good idea. But i`ll try kommandos solution first.They can't use much power - if all else fails, why not use a small battery, dedicated to them, with opposite polarity?
They make them pretty tiny these days - just have to charge them every month or so.

As long as its not earthed through the case and neither is the GPS sensor then its as simple as connecting the +ve lead to the +ve on the bike and the -ve to the -ve.

I tried kommandos suggestion and its O.K.I use the speed hut gauges and have done as kommando has said.
Still going strong after 7 years.
