I'm about to fit a Sparx rotor/stator on my 71 Commando which requires its own regulator unit. Anyone have any tips on a good mounting spot? Doesn't seem to be a whole lot of room on the underside of the battery box like on my Triumph. Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated.

Colorado Norton Works sells those and a mounting bracket to go in the Battery area up against the rear fender. I made my own bracket & did it simalar to the way they do it. I think there is a picture of it on there web site or you can do a search here and there are some pictures of how others have done it. I can't post pictures but if you P.M. Me you EMail address I'll send you pictures of mine..

Some aluminum scrap and some 1/4 inch bolts/nuts.

Dont know if you have the same room on your 71, but it fits nicely in here on the MKIIA

On my 74 MKII I attached it to the back side of the air cleaner plate, near the battery.
