Does anyone know a source for pipes like these for a '69 Commando? Maybe not quite exactly like these, because a hard right turn might be an adventure, but this kind of look with a slight upsweep at the mufflers. Must stay two separate pipes all the way to the mufflers. I don't favor the 2 into 1 look for this project.

Thanks for your input.

Perhaps something more like this - more in keeping with Commando content !

Don't think these are available, you'd have to have them custom made ?
And be sure of your cornering clearances, having it kill you on the first tight corner may not be a good move.
That 2nd pipe looks like a real lash-up under there...

Norman White used to sell that exhaust system - perhaps he still does.

Yeah, this is more the look I wanted anyway. Reminds me a bit of the shape of the Manx pipe. I will check out the Norman White web site.

You could likely cut & shut the ones onit , looking at your picture . The T100 R ones there are Flat track pipes .
fitted right to a sing arm machine they tuck up the mufflers staggered against under the swing arm for maxmum cleatrance .
Seeing we're on T100Rs .

Your best with the right pipe - muffler up parralelish to swing arm - in under , then the left muffler
can fit under inside it a bit forward . Thats the theroy anyway .

The Norman White web page does not offer the works pipes. Just two versions of a standard set. I've sent an e-mail to ask if they will make and sell a set of the JPN pipes. Likely more expensive than getting something made on this side of the pond though. Problem is finding someone to do it.

Find a exhaust shop that still has a old Mandle bender and knows how to use it and get your pipes made to fit, I got mine made over 33 years ago from a loycal shop and Ian who did the work took about 45 minutes to make them, he was a Master to his trade and I watch him do the work, he made them so is sat right under the motor and close to the frame, my bike was the first one he's done in about 20 years and didn't charge me for his time, $20 for the steel.

Ian Toy passed away about 15 years ago and my pipes have never come loose in all these years of hard riding.
