Well, this isn't a new thread really...it's kind of a carry over from another one that is now locked.

I have been in the process of buying (trying to buy) this Triton Racer. It's built on a 64 Featherbed frame 72 T150 triple motor that's bored and stroked to 1000cc. It currently belongs to a racer down in Florida who is retiring and selling his bikes. He's a super nice guy and very well respected racer and builder. I am terribly excited but getting really frustrated since I've been waiting for it to be ready to ship since May..... (It's mine so don't try to swoop it up lol) Anyhoo, thought I'd repost pics of the bike here for your enjoyment (and mine). I plan on converting it to a street bike over time. First thing to go will be that seat. -a Manx seat will go a quite nicely on it. Oh, and I'll need a kickstand. :D

Well, now the guy is saying that he's not selling it. CRAP! I have been messing with this for 2 months. What a complete waste of time!

Well I think he's doing you a favour Matt... I think that turning that bike into a useable road bike would be more involved than you may initially imagine.

You're probably right. Still it's disappointing though. I'll just invest the $$ wisely until something else come around.

Id tend to look at a 850+ in a Lowline dommie chassis , if a dollar or two was available . If Street / Comp. was the goal .
only half the parts to go wrong . but working on something a bit more durable along similar lines .
