Snortin Norton

Does anyone remember this?

If you traveled on Route 66 in Illinois, Missouri or Oklahoma in the sixties and seventies you probably saw it on the side of a semi-trailer as it passed.
He's "Snortin Norton" , mascot of the Campbell 66 Express trucking company out of Springfield, Missouri.

New to me, but a bit of history on it here.
Goes back a lot of years.

Good memory....

Says Bill Boyd from our Ozarks made it run like the Elk and horses we see. I'd seen the image prior but didn't relate to its history till now.
