I bought a 1971 Commando Roadster that had been apart to do the isolastics and never got finished. The good news is I got all the parts (and then some!) with the bike and am now close to having it all back together. Whoever commented on this great forum that the assembly order doesn't much matter as long as you start with the horn was a very sage individual!
I have a simple question on connecting the horn wires, and if I could see the horn better back under the battery tray it would probably be labeled. My 1971 has the single standard horn with 2 spade connectors (a pair) near one edge of the horn and another pair opposite that, each in a little plastic "cup". Do the 2 horn wires go next to each other on one of these pairs or do you put one wire on a spade in each pair? My first thought was next to each other due to the length of the wires, but on second thought that would be a little risky for a short so I'm thinking there may be a spare spade on each connector in case you had 2 horns wired in parallel.
Thanks,
Doug
