Anybody heard of Konis for a 79 Bonnie? I have two 140D. Progressive shocks on my unrestored. They are very old and not very attractive, but work well. Not sure of the ones on the restored one. Maybe Wassel. What is the best shocks that look retro enough but are substantially better than the Girlings. I like to go two up on the Bonnies. Are the Hagons much better? Willing to lay out some bucks.

Koni's for the T120R 69 to 79 were the 7610-1282SP6 but I have my doubts they fit the OIF.

They list for the T140V 72 onwards a 7610-1250SP5 and SP4(for solo only) with comment that it will foul the chainguard which will need moving and a spacer needs to be fitted the the rear brake arm 79 onwards.

Wassell's are copies of the old Girlings, basic but not long lasting. Hagons are a step up but they do a range, NJB's are getting better and its owned by an ex Girling tech guy.

Thank you. My current shocks are Emgo. They are pretty good for riding solo at 220 lbs. but with the extra 125lb. missus, I could use a little more. I will look into the above.
