I lost this part n. 060399.

06-0399
3/8" Washer Shim, .027" Thick

However, are you certain you need to fit this part, as the 060399 shim is fitted "as required" (see parts list = "AR") ?

Also factory manual, section C34, 4. states: "Check the plain washer is on the support stud (on some units an additional thinner large diameter washer is used at that point)."

I know it needs a washer, but doesn't the threaded adjustment eliminate the need for shimming?

Are you thinking of the 850 Mk3 stud assembly which has the threaded adjustment?

Hi piero.
Put the gaslet on the LH case and apply a straight edge to it and the centre mount stud.
The gap at the stud is the shim washer thickness you need.

No, I have an old 750 chaincase fixing stud in my bonepile. Is it not adjustable?

No, I have an old 750 chaincase fixing stud in my bonepile. The MK III chaincase and engine cradle have no provision for one. The only hole in that vicinity of the cradle (and chaincase) is for the crossover shaft. I just looked to make sure.

Well, I can only suggest you look at the Mk3 inner primary chaincase and cradle again more carefully, or look in your Mk3 parts book (Group 10) or factory manual, section C34,6?

Yes, you are correct. I found it upon second look. Is the pre-Mk III fixing stud non-adjustable?
