I took my 73 750 out for a spin today, having not been able to for the last week or so. She was doing fine for few miles, then I took her up a long incline and noticed she started emitting a shallow popping out the left side exhaust. At first I thought it was my chain catching occasionally on the guard, but when I reached the top of the incline and sat at idle it was clearly from the left pipe.

I'm guessing it could either be a loose pipe or some sort of air coming in. When I give it a good amount of throttle, it seems to diminish the sound. Any one had a similar occurrence and have any suggestions? The carbs had a thorough cleaning and syncing over the past month.

See video below for sound:

It could easily be an air leak but perhaps the pilot mixture is a little lean. Try turning the air screw in a tiny bit.
