The time side cover, the cocky engine cant profile, the torpedo like reverse cone silencers the tank shape and finish.

I'd have to say +1 on the timing side cover, It's always been part of the bike that my eyes gravitate to. There's something about it being a twin too. And I'd have to also add the original curved intake manifolds rank right up there as well. Cj

i do like the timing cover, especially when the logo is painted black. The rounded top edge of the Z bracket does it for me too. the lockheed caliper has a cool old time aircraft feel to me too. Gotta go grab a kleenex :shock:

I always have my doubts about motorcycles which are produced by companies with no racing heritage. I always wonder how the value analysis is done. When a bike is raced, the changes which occur to the setup during the first five meetings are usually quite substantial. It will be interesting when someone tries to race the new Norton Commando, it has to fail somewhere. I wonder if there is a race class for it ?

This gleaming part of Commandos changed my life forever as I was already outside
in bright sun from the dark small engine shop dissapointed nothing used I wanted ... till subconsciously froze in mid stride, slowly I turned step by step till OMG! That one later became Ms Peel. I'd never seen a Commando before in my life but for posters long faded.

Cuteness ain't just skin deep either.
