IMG_1142.jpg There is a 'Bike Life' meet at Sammy Millers, New Milton, Hants, BH25 5SZ. on Sunday 24 June 10:00 to 15:30. Just another summer bike meet, ho hum. Except the organisers are a husband and wife team who both ride 961s.
A potential gathering for those of us in the South/South West of this Sceptred Isle who like to oggle other, as well as our own, Nortons. I'm in, any other interest?

A two-day anything involving bikes usually ends up with me and the missus at fisticufs and she knows where the rolling pin is kept :) I usually go 'commando' when there's a hint of rain, nothing worse than damp undercrackers lol

I’m feel sure, if you ask nicely, Blighty will write you a note to be excused husband duties for the duration

I’m hoping to get to this event, no excuses as I live in Hampshire but I am a fair weather rider. Hopefully meet some of you 961 riders there, weather permitting!

Hello Richard , Great seeing all of those 961's parked up together like that . That gives me a real sense that really are making bikes ! Riding together would be even greater. I know of only one other Norton 961 in the state of Wisconsin and I saw him riding it once.

A good day out, breakfast in Salisbury with the Lincolnshire Poacher followed a very pleasant run down through the New Forest, dodging some cows in the road grazing the hedgerow. Saw three other 961s. Shout out to Hester who has this rather sweet and very new CR and to glb and Terry who we bumped into in the cafe. A good meet, well supported with apparently 1400 visitors attending, most on bikes of all sorts and sizes and having to spill over into the car parks as all the dedicated bike parking, of which there was plently, became absolutely stuffed. ( See Bike Life Classics FB page for oodles of other pics).
Took a run down to Poole Quay afterwards to sample the cool sea breeze and enjoy an oversize ice cream.

An owner from Devon arrived on this rare 961, not seen a green one before, apparently only two in the country. Not a forum member but NOC Devon Branch member bemoaning the lack of interest in the event from his fellow club members.

Plently of examples of historic classics on show in the courtyard and other stands along with this ebay bitsa by Allen Millyard.
