Roadster/Interstate/Thruxton R tank (2020)

That's about it for now, just need some warmer weather to do the engine break-in and fettle process. After that the bike will be taken apart for frame painting. That might be done next winter, it might be good to ride it for a full season as is.
In the meantime it's a real treat to roll around the shop.
My heaviest bike here is the Vincent Rapide. With touring setup (top box & pannier rack,) it is just over 500 lbs whereas this bike is just over 300. The MK3 is next at about 475 with fuel then the Modern Triumphs at around 470 and 450. Any of those can tip over if you aren't careful. I can't imagine rolling a big 700-900lb cruiser bike around the shop, that would be very dangerous.
A friend broke his leg that way, compound fracture, just moving his Harley dresser a few feet. The worst of it was he was under the bike for a long time before a neighbour heard his screams.
So there are more reasons for the trim job than just power to weight ratio and improved road handling, although those were the initial incentives.

This much lightweight Norton 920 weighs roughly the same as a Vincent twin engine, 206lbs.
Getting it back together after frame painting.
