Hey Folks,

Next weekend (June 7, 8, 9) are the big vintage races at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI. This is one of my personal favorite events and tracks. The facility is fantastic, and racing on that huge course is humbling. You're likely to bump into John Gregory and TC Christenson of Hogslayer fame, as well as Peter Zylstra who was instrumental in the design and development of the XR750 Harley racing program.

The following weekend (June 14, 15, 16), almost directly across that great lake, we'll be at Grattan Raceway just outside of Grand Rapids. A great event that always feels homey and brings out a lot of the good midwest crew.

So, if you're in the neighborhood, come down and say hello.

Hope you have a great back-to-back.

We drove up to Elkhart Lake the middle of that huge storm in '08 when a bunch of boy scouts were killed by a tornado; drove through severely flooded, almost impassible roads and finally arrived with the track entrance totally flooded. They brought us in through the back and the next day it was like nothing happened. The back section is like a ride through the forest on a Sunday afternoon, except your moving at almost twice the speed limit.

Grattan is where I managed to snag a ride on a Formula 500 Kawasaki triple for the 2nd half of the season and scored my first podium; that little track is amazing, it's got everything including a jump!

Hi Kenny

A bit far to call by but good luck for the weekend.

Regards

John
