Have just received my new barrels for the bike, what would we do with out ebay ?.
Have a set of used plus 20 thou pistons that were on the bike and another set of used plus 20 thou that came with the barrels.
Measured the top ring end gap, it was 33 thou, WTF ?, expected 10-15 thou, but 33 ?.
Dropped in the original set of rings and pistons, about 12-13 thou, as expected.
Why would the previous owner of the barrels and pistons fit for 33 thou ?, the bore in the barrels are great, so the pistons have not been fitted that long......................
