Ok so i have weld in pegs one broke off and the other is bent . Is there a way to replace them ?

Welded into what? The stock Commando brackets? In any case, it seems like you could just cut them off at whatever location they are welded, and weld new ones on.

Ya the stock rider peg bracket there seems to be two styles welded in place a threaded the sell threaded replacements but i cant find weldable replacements

I assume you mean the foot peg was welded into the extension stalk. if so a bodge repair after the stalk threads used up. If so might have the broken stub drilled out and put in a new peg but back up with a nut behind or find a bolt that works and grind off the head to slip on the rubber. No pegs I know of were meant to be welded on but don't mean they can't be though chrome suffers. Rear sets are much better foot gear but more pricy.

Yeah, mine were drilled out when I got it early on and some after market pegs put in. Sees to work though I cut off the stuff beyond the nut so it doesn't bang into the primary or whatever.

Some of the early pegs (1968, 1969) were brazed or silver soldered into the cast bracket. The later pegs were theaded and these were bolted to the cast bracket. On a lot of crashed bikes the pegs have been welded to the cast brackets. Your course of action depends on what you are starting with.

These are a factory or really good and re chromed set that have no threads but regardless I want to do headsets but the cost has me waiting (300+) thanks for the ideas on fixing them I'll just have to.make a fix till I replace them

Use one of these ( not the sodapop ) 7 a rather large Drill Press . and QUENCH to avoid delaminateing the Chrome. also alloy strap , same .

Stock threads 7/16 unf ?? , couple of old boltsl do for footrests . Some types put a nick at that end , so they WILL snap , and cut slot end to
screw out . Even carry spares , touring .

theser cool , but wotchit , some inners are a lot longer . The washers on ends meet track regs . :)
