I'm most afraid to pass this along.
As if my kid getting killed on the M & S ride in NY, on Saturday wasn't bad enough, I just found out that long distance
rider John Ryan was killed this weekend after getting hit by a car in NJ. He was the subject of Melissa Peirson's
(The Perfect Vehicle) last book about long distance riding. Not only was John a fantastic guy and rider, he was
a full diabetic and carried the kit with him at all times, making his achievements all that more incredible.
Listen, all, be VERY careful out there.

Think I'll even ride today, after reading this. (even though only 46 degrees.) But ... will be EXTRA careful.
