That's nice Rich, you want to tell us a bit about it too?

The turn signal placement is something I've never seen. It's pretty cool.
The bike looks great too!!

Matt

Shouldn't be any adjustment on the gas cap. You can get new cap rubber gaskets from any Norton dealer, like Old Britts, Fair Spares, Rabers, Walridge, etc.

G'day Rich,
Ahh, sunny Mildura,
Looks good, more imfo and pics please.
Gear lever.?
Give me a close up of the mounting for your rear blinkers, I really hate the way the original setup looks
and vibrates and will do similar to what you've done.
Did you shorten them.
AC.

Very nice bike, indeed! The rear signal placement is certainly different. Love the taillight. Looks very similar to the one I ended up going with!

AC, if you don't like the stock signals (I can't stand them either), why not replace them altogether?

G'Day Rich, hey nice looking Commando with very tastefully done mods, especially the Corbin seat which sleek lines are complemented by the smaller tail light. I personally dont like the big boxy looking originals.
Mildura ay, thats my home territory, I live 100 ks west of ya so hope to catch up!

Worth study in form and function. Are there two horns on the front? Looks good and functional that way to me.

I saw a post on the forum and tried this. I took an inner tube (bicycle), cut it up and cut out a circle larger than the gasket. I painted contact cement on the gasket only, not the metal, and on all of the rubber. When ready, put it on the upper cap, worked it in, then cut the outside to match the gasket, and the center to expose the vent hole (very important). Closed the cap and left it for a while. It makes the cap harder to shut, which is ok by me, and it seems to work for me.

Good luck, nothing is worse than gas on the outside of the tank (no matter what the reason).

the blinker set up is very simple,,short stem(standard) lucas blinkers fixed to a stainless steel bracket bolted to the frame near the seat fasteners, you cant even really see the bracket because the blinkers sort of cover it up.

OK no worries,
Let us know when Crumpy is home, perhaps we can all meet up for a night on the pi, err a night
at the speedway.
Foxy might come across, I'm sure Cowboy don would be in it.
Hey Jordan, I sort of like to keep things sort of original, If you know what I mean.
I did the right thing last week after a couple of months of not having indicators, put them back to original location,
but developed a horrible vibration so that's enough to change the position. They look a bit tacked on anyway.
Yes nice little light wieght jap ones would be good, praps next time.
