Does anyone know the situation for warranty repairs? I have an issue to resolve and a solicitor who is currently doing some other work for me said that the new owners had bought just the assets of the old Norton Motorcycles and so would not be liable for outstanding warranty claims.

I am currently awaiting a response from Norton Motorcycles MkIV or is it MkV?

Yes, no legal redress but depending on fault and length of ownership reading between the lines you may get help. Only by asking will you find out.

Yes you could Ask but it might be better for you if you offered to meet some of the cost say they supply the parts if they are in stock that is.. and you offer to foot the labour cost. That's a solution that might work, it did for me in the past when my bike was out of warranty as your is now I'm afraid. You would need the agreement of the new MD I would say.

Yes - I was told that I probably wouldn't get far by going all legal with a 'Merchantable Quality' claim so a friendly approach was the best option.

Yes - I was wondering about a direct approach like that. Sorry to invoke his name but SG actually did me a few favours after asking him directly.
