Trying to determine how to wire the rectifier. At which points do the leads attach? Does it matter? I've got the red (ground) off the top fitting, but no indication for the remaining BLUE/BROWN (Negative charge NU), GREEN/YELLOW (Alt. GY) and GREEN/WHITE (Alt. GW).

Any suggestions here?

Thanks

The alternator wires probably do not matter, but I'm sure someone will call me on that.

Connect the brown/blue (not blue/brown) to the centre rectifier terminal (on early Commandos it was brown/white as shown in Dave's photo).

Green/yellow and white/green (not green/white) can go to either outer terminal.

Is there no RED wire connected to the connector close to the central bolt (see pic above)? I got a spare red wire in that area which I thought went there...

If your harness has a red earth/ground wire with a spade connector then yes, connect it to the earth/ground tab of the rectifier. Stillreel said he had already connected the ground wire so I didn't bother mentioning it.

The bottom and top terminal are the same connection, that is, ground or earth. You can connect red to one or the other or both. Mine was originally connected to the bottom as shown and the top one is pretty close to the seat pan, so figured it wasn't worth messing with.
