Hi all!

Well, I have been running a single phased Boyer Power Box for some 15 years and I am pretty sure it has failed and needs replacement. All wiring, grounds, tests seem to confirm that it has gone.

So, other than just buying a new Boyer for around $160, are there any other alternatives I might consider?

Something cheaper perhaps, more tidy maybe? Maybe a Radio Shack type replacement item?

Thanks for any comments!

Note the Podtronics is not just the rectifier, it also includes transistorized voltage regulation, which the zener used to supply. If you just want a rectifier, they are reasonably cheap, couple of bucks at electronics store, but if you want the complete system with voltage regulation, podtronics is the way to go. Check Old Britts, they have a couple of models at reasonable prices.

Dave, still on the rectifier and zener,
