Only half kidding.

I'd just like to thank the state of California for this fantastic fuel that plugs jets after very short periods of time. It's not the state's fault it took so many months for me to finish the rebuild, but it sure would be nice for the fuel to stay fresh and ungluelike for a wee while longer.

Gearbox does shift better with straight shafts, it turns out. It was so nice to take a ride again.

I'll throw in a hearty Thank You to the state of Wisconsin.

Had to clean the Buell and the Norton (With new premires installed).

Got so pissed off at this I went out and scrounged up some AvGas.

The Norton likes it. And I won't need to clean the carbs every month.

Hey, at least you can get ethanol-free out there!

I used to pull up at the fuel pump at Fullerton airport and fill up my car or bike with avgas. Try that now!

VP makes some stable fuels but they are expensive and what do I do, put a 50-gallon drum in the two-car garage?

I ran some leaded 110 in the Norton and it was like a different motorcycle. It doesn't have deto problem, being stock, but the quality of the fuel and its composition led to exceptionally nice running.

Hey, at least gasoline is still legal and pretty easy to find...

It took some phone calls to my Aviation contacts, but I got 5 gallons for free. I can buy some, but it will be more complicated.

We have some ethanol free stations in our state, but the closest one is an hour and a half round trip.

And to top it off most of the close race tracks closed years ago.

Also the small airport with many friends at it closed.

We are fortunate to not have ethanol in Alaska. And the state led the charge to get rid of MBTE several years ago to boot.
The one time we've left bikes in the 48 over winter, I was fortunate to find an ethanol free station in WA before we put the
bikes in storage.

This thread is pretty funny. I once changed a tire on a guys bike and he came back and complained that it didn't run right since I fixed the tire...engine not road...I went in to engineering not long after that :D
